Grounds Person

• About The Role

• We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Person to join our team in Aberlour.

   

  You will be:

  • Grass cutting
  • Operating and using machinery, reporting any damages or faults and organising replacements when necessary
  • Carrying out landscape maintenance
  • Carrying out mixed woodland management
  • Ensuring the Company grounds are in a safe state of repair
    
  • Using the leaf blower to prevent build up of leaves
  • Reporting any timber and firewood requirements
  • Organising firewood for sale
  • Removing ice and snow from roads and walkways and ensuring paths are gritted in cold weather
    

  This vacancy is open to experienced candidates or those new to groundskeeping - we run an internal apprenticeship programme, collaborating with external providers, to help grow your skills and knowledge.

   

  This is a permanent role, working 38 hours per week, 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am - 2pm on Fridays.

   

  You will:

  • Have a positive, proactive attitude
  • Have a good level of physical fitness
  • Be able to work well in a team and individually
  • Have a full driver's license
  • Have a passion for working outdoors with some knowledge of horticulture
